My goal with all of my work is to help men and women surround their homes and lives with beautiful expressions of their inner artist by creating a personal bond between the owner, the artist(me), and the ceramic and glass art pieces I create.

Who We Are
Into the Fire Pottery was created in 2007 by Nancy (& Ed)
Lipe after Nancy completed her studies in clay at Montgomery
Community College in Troy, NC.
Located on the 4th generation Lipe Family farm outside of
Albemarle, North Carolina, in the central piedmont, Into the
Fire Pottery studio specializes in Crystalline and various raku
processes such as horsehair raku, naked raku, and barrel fired
raku. Even with some specialization, Nancy still dabbles in
functional stoneware(teapots and serving pieces), and fused
glass jewelry she has called "Hot Glass". Ed's passion is
photography and fire building for Nancy's barrel firings
although he occasionally is inspired to create unique handbuilt
pieces.
